Large Scale Cut-Out Portraits by Risa Fukui

From a distance, the works of a Tokyo-based artist seem like large floating doodles, but a closer look from different angles show impressive details and varying effects. Take a look at some of her works after the jump!

Like the elaborate paper masterpieces of Emma Van Leest, the large-scale cut-outs done by Tokyo-based artist Risa Fukui are brimming with intricate details. Mounted on clear panels, her works seem to be large doodles, but view them up-close and you’ll notice Risa’s skillful snips and slices on sheets of paper.
